The Earth Explorer Multimedia Encyclopedia of the Environment is a
CD-ROM program, developed by Enteractive Inc. for users ten years of age and
older. It includes over 400 articles, games simulations, over 1,000 color photos
and more than 90 minutes of sound and video clips.
The topics covered in the program include: climate, biosphere ecosystems,
migration, human impact, careers and technology. There are also 21 sets of
environmental data sets on areas including rainfall, pollution, whaling; and
numerous scenarios with fictional characters that highlight hot topics on environmental
issues such as: endangered species, transportation, nuclear power and population.
