Ken Burns' The Civil War Interactive Videodisc

PBS Video's The Civil War Educator's Enhanced Interactive Videodisc is based on the film series by Ken Burns. The six laserdisc series, with bar-code technology, provides a valuable multimedia resource for teachers.

The topics covered in the program include: selected chapters from the film series, big ideas (causes of the war, freedom, leadership), an archive with maps, graphs, key words, profiles and audio clips, and appendices with a glossary of Civil War terms, a timeline, a bibliography, documents and an index.
