EXPO '93, Taejon
In Collaboration with Ancona + Associates

Using the theme of roads, the Host Pavilion for the 1993 EXPO in Taejon, Korea tells the story of Korea's remarkable cultural, economic and technological heritage. The Flower Road examines Korea's natural wonders, the Silk Road its trade history, the Crossroads, its choices and the New Road its breakthrough from an agrarian society to its economic and technological development.

The EXPO '93 Host Pavilion creates an environment in which visitors travel through Korea's times of triumph and despair; from the invention of the water clock, to the misery of war and famine. Hands on exhibits, media and artifacts bring to life Korea's contributions and its hope for the future.
